Royal Docks Creative Network: Are you a Creative Practitioner or Organisation in the Royal Docks?

The Royal Docks Creative Network enables creative practitioners and organisations from across the Royal Docks to meet, explore opportunities for collaboration, share ideas, and shape Royal Docks’ creative future.

The network supports a growing, vibrant cultural ecosystem and enriches creative life here.

In 2021 we launched the Royal Docks Cultural Placemaking Strategy with a big vision to become London’s Cultural Engine – a workshop of the world: home to artists and practitioners, cultural organisations and creative professionals, a place where innovative ideas are germinated, and new cultural work is made. An area humming and alive with creative making.

The Creative Network, devised by local creatives, is absolutely vital to achieving this vision.

As a member of the Creative Network you:

  • Attend quarterly meetings and meet a wide range of Royal Docks creatives, alongside guest speakers
  • Gather for a range of social events, including visits
  • Receive a fortnightly bulletin with updates, news and opportunities from the Royal Docks and beyond

Supporting a vibrant cultural eco-system – what do we mean?

Everyone in the Royal Docks has a stake in the area's creative life. For a thriving cultural scene to sustain long after the Enterprise Zone has ended it is vital to build strong networks and partnerships between local creative organisations, businesses and individuals.

In 2022 we established three key groups to support this - the Creative Connectors (a group for local residents), the Creative Network, and a Programming Panel. These draw together residents, creatives, businesses and community organisations to shape the local cultural offer and the elements which support it including skills, resources and exchange.
