Royal Docks Community Engagement Toolkit
The Royal Docks Team has designed the Community Engagement Toolkit to support all partners working in the Royal Docks – big and small, community organisation, developer or business – to enable communities to meaningfully participate in the area’s regeneration.
We believe that when we work together with local people we can achieve more, and that we are greater than the sum of our parts.
To achieve inclusive regeneration, it is vital to work with existing community organisations to develop trusting relationships, engage meaningfully, and support communities to lead the way in creating better outcomes for local people and places, as they have always done.
The Toolkit summarises the key topics relevant to working with communities in the Royal Docks and responds to many frequently asked questions.
You will find a wealth of resources about -
- Which communities live and work here including demographic information
- Information about diverse community organisations, forums & networks
- Tips and guidance on how to plan & deliver community engagement, based on what communities have told us
- Summaries of engagement & participation activities that have already taken place – that you can build on
- And lots more!
Skip to the section that you want; there’s no need to read it chronologically. Download the Community Engagement Toolkit below and access the additional Key Resources, Strategies & Guides here and the Community Directory here.
