Developing the 21st Century Data Science, AI & Machine Learning Workforce

In the era of big data, data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning have emerged as crucial disciplines with immense potential to transform industries and society at large. To fully harness their power, it is essential to develop a capable and agile workforce equipped with the necessary skills and expertise.

In a recent HM Government study of the UK labour market, over a third of businesses 35% reported that existing employees lacking technical data science and AI skills had prevented them from meeting their business goals, and 49% said that job applicants lacking technical data science and AI skills had done the same. For UK plc to capitalise on this century defining sector, a steady supply of skilled data science professionals is key.

Join us on July 12th at London’s new City Institute of Technology (LCIoT) for a panel & audience discussion, to hear how key employers have successfully addressed this challenge, and what opportunities there are around upskilling and recruitment of data science professionals through the UK Apprenticeship Levy.

Guests will be able to enjoy networking over drinks and nibbles and can hear from LCIoT staff and students on relevant initiatives in the data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence space.
