Newham Local Plan

Newham Council is inviting representations on the Proposed Main Modifications to the Newham Local Plan, which can be found on the council website here.

The Local Plan was submitted for examination in July 2025. Following examination hearings held between December 2025 and February 2026, the Inspector identified a series of Main Modifications required to ensure the Plan meets the tests of legal compliance and soundness.

Consultation Period
The consultation on the Proposed Main Modifications runs from: Tuesday 26 May 2026 to 5pm on Tuesday 7 July 2026. Please note that comments received after the deadline cannot be accepted.

Representations should be submitted via the Council’s Co-create consultation platform.
