LFA2023: Pews & Perches Fourth Edition
Students, graduates and emerging practitioners share their perspective on sustainability within the Docks through the design of a bench that actively engages users and visitors to the Royal Docks
These benches are the fourth edition of London Festival of Architectures' Pews and Perches competition.
Five winning design teams have been selected to have their benches installed for at least a year as part of LFA2023; each offering a unique perspective and interpretation of the LFA theme ‘In Common’.
The five benches and their locations will be:
- Chit Chat Chair by Studio Groove, Floating Gardens, Royal Victoria
- Together We Hold by Akmaral Khassen, Lyle Park
- Round the Neighbourhood by Nicolos Makatsaria and Jericho Cabalan (student team from UTC College), UTC College
- The Bench That Indicates by Pan Projects, Factory Project
- FLOAT by Akasaki Vanhuyse, Royal Albert Wharf
