Silvertown: A Sailor's Story
Part of Open House Festival, explore Silvertown on a free guided walking tour uncovering stories of trade, industry, protest and regeneration along the Thames and Royal Docks.
Led by architectural designer Georgia Green as part of Open City's Golden Key Academy programme, this tour explores Silvertown's industrial heritage and ongoing transformation. Along the way, you'll discover stories of maritime trade, innovation and community action, and learn how old buildings and materials can be reused instead of thrown away.
The tour ends at Tipping Point East, Silvertown's circular economy hub, where visitors can see how materials are reused and repurposed in construction projects.
