THE INDIAN FESTIVAL – MAKAR SANKRAANTI

Around 14th January every year, an observance and a festival is held throughout India that is known as Makar Sankraanti. This occasion marks the transition of the Sun from the zodiac of Sagittarius (Dhanu) to Capricorn (Makara).Many native multi-day festivals are organised on this occasion all over India such as Pongal, Bihu and Lohri to name but a few.

They will also be celebrating these festivals at Cafe Spice Namaste on 13th and 14th January 2023 by serving you some delicious regional dishes whilst also running fun activities such as kite flying.
