Help Shape Floating Residential at Royal Victoria Dock West
Work is progressing on the Vision for Royal Victoria Dock West, with a specialist consultant team now appointed to develop proposals for Floating Residential and a preferred developer-operator soon to be selected for Floating Wellness project.
The Floating Residential project aims to create a new waterside community, bringing together residential moorings, floating homes and shared community facilities for both existing residents and future water-based communities.

Following engagement with hundreds of local people earlier this year, Royal Docks Waterways is inviting the local community to help shape the next stage of the project.
Your feedback will help ensure the project reflects local needs and ambitions from the outset. Royal Docks Waterways want to understand which initial ideas provide most value for the community and what facilities and services should be prioritised as proposals develop.
At a series of sessions in early October, you will be able to:
- Learn more about the Floating Residential concept
- Meet the design team leading the feasibility study
- Explore and discuss initial ideas and proposals
- Share your views on what would deliver the greatest benefits for the community
- Help identify priorities for future community facilities and amenities

Apply for the Young Designers Programme this half term!
- Are you 16-25 and living or studying in Royal Victoria and the surrounding areas?
- Are you interested in a career in design or architecture?
- Would you like to get paid to help develop ideas for floating residential and community facilities?
Participants will receive a £30 voucher per session!
This is a two-day programme. Please advise if you can only attend for one day
Note you must be over the age of 16 in order to take part.
