London’s iconic open water swim returns to the Royal Docks, bringing hundreds of swimmers to the water for distances ranging from 1.5km to the epic 15km challenge. Spectators are encouraged to come along, cheer on participants and enjoy the event-day atmosphere.

Drop into City Hall to explore its sustainable design, or take a guided walking tour with Silvertown: A Sailor's Story to uncover the area's rich maritime and industrial past. Take a behind-the-scenes look at Tipping Point East to see green construction in action, or pop into the University of East London: Architecture & Visual Arts School to view inspiring student work.
From local history walks to eco-friendly design, these free events offer a rare look at the places transforming the waterfront.

Celebrate the end of summer at The Cause’s annual closing festival, a day and night of music across multiple indoor and outdoor stages. This year’s event features ESG performing their final ever London show, alongside Gilles Peterson, Horse Meat Disco, Joe Claussell and Rhythm Connection.

Afternoon Matinées at Tereza Joanne

Step aboard the Tereza Joanne for a series of entertaining afternoon matinees featuring tributes to Tom Jones, Tina Turner, ABBA and Michael Bublé, alongside a traditional Cockney sing-along. Each show includes a two-course meal with tea or coffee, making for a perfect afternoon of live music, nostalgia and dancing.
