New Homes launched at Silvertown

Guinness Homes has launched Argenta at Silvertown, a landmark residential development at the heart of the Royal Docks, with homes now ready to move in.

The first residents have started to move into the newly completed affordable homes and the first 66 Shared Ownership units have launched, offering high‑quality apartments with views across Silvertown to the east and towards North Greenwich to the west.

Delivered in partnership with Lendlease, the wider project will bring 430 new homes across several phases, including one, two and three‑bedroom options. The development sits within a historic 50‑acre site that includes Millennium Mills and Silo D - both iconic structures set to be restored and reactivated.

Silvertown is undergoing a major transformation, with a revised masterplan approved by Newham Council’s planning committee late last year. The plans pave the way for nearly 7,000 new homes, including 1,032 in the first phase - more than half of which will be affordable.

In another boost for the project, a new pedestrian and cycle bridge across Royal Victoria Dock will also now move forward. The bridge will link Silvertown with Custom House Station and the Elizabeth Line, making walking, cycling and public transport the easiest ways to reach the area.

Silvertown benefits from excellent transport links. The Silvertown Tunnel, opened in April 2025, provides a new connection to the Greenwich Peninsula and The O2, reducing congestion and improving cross‑river journeys. Pontoon Dock DLR, Custom House Elizabeth Line, and multiple bus routes offer fast links to central London and beyond.

The new Shared Ownership homes provide an accessible route onto the property ladder, featuring spacious layouts, high‑specification finishes, integrated appliances and private balconies. Residents can enjoy nearby amenities including Thames Barrier Park, Royal Wharf, and Canning Town.
