Visit City Hall
Did you know that City Hall is open to the public?
Located in Royal Victoria Dock, City Hall is the headquarters of the Mayor of London, the London Assembly and the Greater London Authority. This accessible and welcoming spaces invites visitors during opening hours - Mondays to Thursdays, 8.30am to 6pm, and on Fridays, 8.30am to 5.30pm.

Dine in London’s Kitchen Café
Located on the ground floor of City Hall, London’s Kitchen Café is open to everyone, not just staff. Visitors are more than welcome to enjoy fresh seasonal dishes including modern classics, urban street food, chopped salads, sandwiches, and a selection of pastries and snacks.
The café is open for breakfast from 8.30am to 10.30am and lunch from 11.30am to 2.30pm. It’s a great place to dine, enjoy a coffee and take in the stunning views of Royal Victoria Dock. Open Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4pm. Find out more about London’s Kitchen Café.

See a debate in The Chamber
The Chamber is where debates and London Assembly meetings take place. If there is a public meeting taking place, visitors are welcome to attend and watch from the seating gallery. Find out more about London Assembly Public Meetings.
Access free Wi-Fi
Enjoy free Wi-Fi access throughout the building by logging in to City Hall Wi-Fi and using 'GLA Guest'.
Come into the Dementia Friends space
City Hall is a certified Dementia Friendly Venue. Many of the front of house staff, including reception and security officers, are trained as Dementia Friends to provide support and clear signage to help visitors with Dementia. Find out more about the Dementia Friendly Charter.
Use the accessible toilets
Need the loo? Just pop in. All toilet facilities in City Hall are gender neutral, with cubicles located on the ground floor. In partnership with Changing Places, City Hall has also installed a fully accessible toilet and changing facility next to the reception desk on the ground floor.
This facility includes a height-adjustable, adult-sized changing bench with shower, a ceiling track hoist system, space for a wheelchair user and up to two assistants, a centrally placed toilet with room on either side for assistants, a wide tear-off paper roll to cover the bench, a large waste bin for disposable pads, and a non-slip floor, ensuring comfort and accessibility for all visitors. Visit London's Living Room
Located on the ground floor, London’s Living Room is a bright and modern event space which is also available for hire. Visitors can also see the London County Council Roll of Honour, commemorating staff who served during 1914–1918 and 1939–1945. A 2012 Olympic torch is also displayed in a separate cabinet. Book an educational tour
City Hall offers free education sessions that give students a unique insight into London’s history, government, and political processes. Designed for school groups (Key Stage 2 and above), colleges, universities, and other London groups, these sessions explain the roles of the Greater London Authority, the Mayor, and the London Assembly while encouraging political engagement and debate. Security:
In the interest of everyone’s safety and security, everyone visiting City Hall must pass through security at the entrance to the building. This includes going through a metal detector and having all bags scanned. Find out more about the City Hall Admissions Policy.
