Culture Cargo at Royal Docks

Culture Cargo arrives at Royal Docks with three performances aboard the historic sailing barge Raybel on Saturday 19 September.

Culture Cargo transforms the historic sailing barge Raybel into a floating cultural venue as it travels from the Thames Estuary into central London.

Through a programme of performances, conversations and creative encounters onboard, visitors are invited to explore the future of London's rivers, the impact of climate change on the estuary, and how creativity can help reimagine connections between people, place and the environment.

For this final stop, Raybel will moor in King George V Lock, where the Thames meets the Royal Docks, hosting three events that explore our relationship with rivers, place and the environment.

Programme

2.30pm | The River Between Us with Irene Fiordilino

Tickets from £7

A participatory workshop for up to 15 people combining sensory observation, gentle movement, image-making and creative writing. Inspired by the Thames and the voyage of Raybel, participants will explore personal connections to the river through a guided creative journey.
