Frost Fair

Our free annual winter celebration is back at Cody Dock! Wrap up warm and join us for a full day of stalls, activities, performances, exhibitions and seasonal fun.

Get creative with our craft activities. You can make your own festive wreath with real spruce (there’s a small fee to cover materials), try natural beeswax candle making with Beekeeper Simon, or make your own reusable festive wrapping. Then warm up and toast marshmallows round the fire. If your bike needs some love, the Tower Hamlets Wheelers will be on hand for bike repairs.

Browse our local makers market and the Cody Dock plant sale, with lavender bags and seeds, get your tarot read, and warm up with some mulled wine. There will be live music from Flotsam Collective and Star Lane Choir. We’ll also have a lantern procession with pupils and their lanterns from the River of Light project, and the opening of our final Cabinet of Curiosity, “The Iron Voyager” by blacksmith artist Richard Maynard.

Don’t forget to pick up your Cody Dock 2027 calendar, with photos chosen from the winners of the Your River Lea photo competition, and a Cody Dock tote bag.

Bring your friends and family, because this one is not to be missed!
